Can I really get a free phone from Black Friday iPhone deals?
The short answer is yes, but with some caveats. In most cases, the phone is not paid for upfront, but rather through a monthly billing credit over time, meaning you will be responsible for paying the remaining cost of the phone if you leave your contract early. That said, as long as you don’t break your contract, you’ll pay the cost of the phone, minus a minimum one-time activation fee.
If you generally like to upgrade your phone more often, we recommend checking out one of T-Mobile’s iPhone deals, which lock you into a 24-month contract, unlike Verizon and AT&T’s 36-month contracts.
