Collins frequently posted from around metro Atlanta and reportedly died in Columbus on Wednesday after calling emergency responders for trouble breathing.
Marquee Collins, whose online handle was “MarquetheGoat,” reportedly died Wednesday in Muskogee County after emergency responders were called for difficulty breathing, according to WTVM in Columbus. The county coroner also told People Magazine that he was involved in an auto accident in Atlanta earlier this month and then began complaining of headaches and other pain.
Collins was known for her big personality on TikTok, where she amassed 7 million followers and compiled videos reviewing food, cars, and posting comedy/lifestyle clips.
He was also partially known as the son of Sonja Collins, herself a TikTok star with over 4 million followers.
“I’m heartbroken. My baby, my last baby, my Snuggabug, my Marquee is no longer with me. He was the sweetest person, not a bone in his body. I needed him for more time than God gave me,” she posted on Wednesday.
She posted again on Thanksgiving morning: “I’m sad. Yes, I’m going to post my baby, I love him and I miss him. My heart is broken, one day it will heal but I will still miss my son Marquee. Matthew 5:4 TBH, if I didn’t go to church, I don’t know where I would be. One thing I do know is that Marquee loved God, his family, friends Was. And the church, I’m not saying the church is the answer to everything, but God is❣️I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving.”
According to TMZ, he attended Georgia State University and graduated from Shaw High in Columbus. Columbus Ledger-Enquirer Last year he was highlighted as one of the city’s young influencers, and described as “one of the most successful content creators by any metric”.
