Nashville Christian’s (Tenn.) 5-star quarterback commits Georgia Twice during his recruitment. Now he has done the opposite twice. Curtis officially flipped from Georgia VanderbiltThe months-long saga ended with the two-time Bulldog quarterback’s commitment to stay home in Nashville to play for the hometown Commodores.
This leaves Georgia at the quarterback altar for the second time in three recruiting cycles.
“I would say, probably the biggest reason is just the relationship with the coaches. Like, both schools are great, and I had a great relationship with both coaches, but going to Georgia a couple of times, obviously, gave them a little advantage, getting to know all their coaches and getting to reach out to their coaches and talk to them,” Curtis told Dogs247 on why he committed to Georgia a second time.
Curtis had been on Georgia’s radar for a long time, and the staff made it clear he was a solid target, with his original commitment in the spring of 2024. He committed to the Bulldogs over several top programs before abandoning that decision last summer. In May, Curtis committed to Georgia. oregon and other contenders, and were barely a blip on Commodore Curtiss’s recruiting radar.
Standing 6 feet 4 inches and 225 pounds, Curtis brings a rare ability and talent to the position. The nation’s No. 3 overall player was the Bulldogs’ favorite quarterback target from start to finish.

“Yeah, I’m just talking to Coach Bobo,” Curtis said about why he originally chose Georgia. “I’ve been there a few times and built relationships with all the coaches. But going there with Coach Bobo, and having him come to us, that made an impact, and talking to him was really cool.”
With Curtis’ retirement, the Bulldogs fell out of the top 5 in the 247Sports team rankings for the first time in the entire cycle. This will be the first time that Georgia has remained outside the top-5 in the entire round kirby smart Tenure.
