Frontier Airlines is making some big changes that will impact passengers.
The airline, known for its affordable fares, is adding several new routes and is considering adding Wi-Fi.

Frontier announced in a Nov. 20 news release that the airline is adding four new routes “at seven airports,” which will be available in early 2026.

“These routes are expected to enhance the affordable travel options offered in New Jersey, Florida, Illinois, Utah and Arizona,” Frontier wrote.

“The following day, January 22, Frontier will begin twice-weekly nonstop service between Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) and Tucson International Airport (TUS). On February 13, 2026, Frontier will launch routes connecting Miami International Airport (MIA) to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), and Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Pensacola International Airport (PNS).”

The airline added, “These new routes underscore Frontier’s commitment to providing low fares to more consumers in more places. To celebrate the continued growth of America’s low-fare airline, the company is offering fares starting at $29.”
“These new routes will provide consumers with more affordable connections across the United States as early as 2026,” Josh Flyer, vice president of network and operations design for Frontier Airlines, said in the news release.
“With our ultra-low fares and our enhanced customer experience, as well as growth in top metro areas across the United States, we are eager to show travelers why New Frontier is fast becoming America’s low-fare airline.”
Frontier announces ‘sweeping changes’ to elevate customer experience
Frontier’s changes are part of what the airline calls a “comprehensive” effort to upgrade the passenger experience.
“Frontier Airlines has launched a comprehensive transformation of its product and customer service offerings ,The New Frontier, Among the enhancements is Upfront Plus seating, an advanced seating option with additional leg and elbow room in the first two rows of the aircraft,” the airline wrote.
“In Upfront Plus, customers enjoy a window or aisle seat with extra legroom and the guarantee of an empty middle seat,” Frontier said.
“The airline now offers Unlimited Companion Travel for its most loyal customers, with the flexibility to choose a different companion on each Frontier flight. Beginning in early 2026, Frontier will begin offering First Class seating combining unmatched comfort and space at Frontier’s trademark affordable prices.”
Frontier is headquartered in Denver. According to the airline, Frontier “operates one of the youngest and most fuel-efficient fleets in the US”, which bills itself as “America’s best value loyalty program” and a “low-fare airline”.
