Further evidence that people are looking for forever items: the success of the Oceanus Brass Stapler, from the company that brought you that 20-pound stainless steel drinking mug.

Machined from an inch-thick block of brass, the staple-less stapler uses a punch that punches holes in the paper and folds a tab to lock the pages together.

The company writes, “Ergonomically shaped for one-handed use, the Oceanus Brass Stapler is balanced and deeply satisfying to use.”
The little stapler is only 2 ¾” square by one inch thick, but being brass it weighs 13 ounces. Not as heavy as that mug, but it will definitely last you just as long.

The $90 stapler has been a wild success on Kickstarter; As of press time it had raised $160,000 with 26 days left in pledging.
