Each time, donors will choose between Team Nick or Team Marcus, and each donor will be entered to win a unique Hockey Fights Cancer jersey signed by both brothers, as well as a signed puck from their team’s Foligno.
Nick said, “I’m really proud to be in an organization, a league that understands the importance of something like this, how unfortunate it is that it impacts so many people’s lives. There are so many forms of cancer.” “We have Troy Murray (Blackhawks radio color analyst) who is struggling and so are many others. It’s sad that we can’t talk to someone who doesn’t know someone infected.
“I think I’m most proud of the fact that we have the Hockey Fights Cancer initiative that makes you feel like there’s some way you can give back and you’re proud. Our league moves on and becomes champions and being a part of that is really gratifying. When you know you’re making a difference, whether it’s a kind word for someone who’s going through it or helping raise money for research, it makes you feel like you’re making a difference.” I think everybody in this league feels that way.”
