CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Tuesday has been designated a First Alert Weather Day due to the potential for snow accumulation, especially in the morning.

According to the FOX19 NOW weather team, snow is expected to fall Monday night and continue into Tuesday morning.

Snow accumulations could range from zero to three inches depending on location.

They also indicate the possibility of some freezing rain and sleet, especially for areas south and southeast of the city.

While most of the snowfall is expected to move out of the tri-state area by mid to late morning, delays are more likely than school cancellations at this point. However, this depends on the road conditions, which can be dangerous if left untreated.
Temperatures are expected to be slightly above zero Tuesday afternoon, meaning any snow and ice that accumulates will remain unless treated.
