While Korra and the Avatar State variants made the cut, the only other person from their show included in the launch is season three villain Zaheer. In isolation, he is a good choice; Definitely one of the coolest moments in the show’s villain lineup, arguably its coolest, and adds some Airbender representation beyond Aang. This is all the track, and it’s too bad we can’t currently see how Zaheer plays to show how badly the fighting community will treat him.
Still, it’s a strange move to make airbender slant and leave korra With pieces. Maybe not everyone in her version of Team Avatar is fighting game stuff – sorry, Mako, but look at the one fire guy, saw them all – but certainly some people like Asami and Lin Beifong deserve the spotlight. This will likely be addressed with DLC, but it all depends on whether the game finds enough of an audience for the studio to make it a DLC. This isn’t the only fighting game based on licensed IP coming this year, and a brand name doesn’t guarantee a future.
Talking about the future, we also got its release date Avatar Fables: July 2 for PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, and Xbox Series And if fighting games aren’t your thing, the animated Aang Solo movie will arrive on Paramount+ in October.
