ITV aren’t particularly interested in this game, they talked about it for about 15 minutes on Friday night. Look ahead friends.
Sarina Wigman: “Every game you don’t win hurts. Friday was tough because we didn’t build any momentum.
“Of course you want to win but always when we lose, win or draw we look at things we can do better but when you lose it becomes more important.
“We want to keep some freshness and some other players. We expect a lot of tight spaces and she (Blindkilde Brown) puts herself in really good positions, she gets the ball and that’s why we brought her in.”
Gordon emails: “After last Friday’s debacle, and, let us not forget, after the poor performance in Iceland, many were calling for changes to the England XI, and, indeed, I am delighted to see Le Tissier, Charles and Blindkilde Brown starting tonight.
“But, for me, it is inconceivable that Walsh and Stanway have retained their places. Both of them were embarrassingly poor against Spain last Friday – Putellas and Co. ran rings around them. Their inclusion tonight begs the question – how bad will they have to be to be out? Lucia Kendall and Jess Park should play in their places.
“I realized late that Sarina Wiegman has been without her long-time assistant Arjan Weurink He is now the head coach of Netherlands Women – following last year’s Euro win. I’m beginning to think he was the brains of the organization.
Will England make a comeback or lose?
Only four changes for Wiegman tonight, so not as many as some had anticipated, but that should freshen things up.
Not just about England tonight. There will be a good amount at the far end.
It’s great to see England playing away from Wembley. The only time I was interested in the national team was when they were traveling during the construction of the new stadium. It’s a pain in the ass to get to Wembley from anywhere outside London and, as a general rule, it’s incredibly expensive for tickets.

Preface
This will almost certainly not be the end of England’s World Cup qualifying campaign because, barring some strange results tonight, they will reach the playoffs later this year. The Lionesses are level on points with Spain but are in second place due to a poor record in Mallorca on Friday.
Sarina Wiegman is ready to make a difference tonight at Hill Dickinson Stadium. The dreadful result in Spain may have influenced the decision but after a long season, some players will need a rest. England are firm favorites at Liverpool, so rotation is unlikely to hurt their chances.
Start: 8pm BST.
