Eminem makes surprise Thanksgiving halftime appearance with Jack White

The real Slim Shady caught everyone’s attention during the Thanksgiving Day halftime show.

In Detroit for the Lions-Packers game, Eminem made a surprise appearance with headlining act Jack White wearing a Lions letterman jacket and the classic white hood over his head.

Eminem dramatically emerged from a stage with pyrotechnics to his 2002 hit “Till I Collapse” as the crowd went wild before the show’s conclusion.

White also performed a rock-and-roll parody of Eminem’s hit song.

Eminem, legally named Marshall Mathers, was the executive producer of the Lions Thanksgiving halftime show with his manager Paul Rosenberg.

The two came together as part of a multi-year partnership to produce and oversee the show.

Eminem grew up in Detroit before rising to fame and becoming a cultural icon for the state of Michigan.

This is Eminem’s first year serving as executive producer of the halftime show, and he accompanied White, who is also a Detroit native.

It was not expected that Eminem would perform, but he was surprised with great enthusiasm at the Packers-Lions game.

However, this did not rally the troops for the Lions, who lost the game 31–24 to the Packers in a crucial home game that had a huge impact on their division.

With the win, the Packers improve to 8-3-1 as the Bears lead the division (8-3), set to play the Eagles on Friday.

The Lions (7-5) now find themselves in a position to contend for a wild-card spot in a crowded NFC playoff picture.
