  • The Mannings “all love to give each other a hard time” and “aren’t afraid to get a hard time,” says eldest brother Cooper.

Eli Manning is grateful that his older brother often got into mischief – because it gave him a little more freedom.

Talking exclusively to PEOPLE about their hilarious new family ad new York Times Family Membership, Allie, 44, explained how her older brother Cooper Manning, 51, helped her relax their parents’ rules when they were younger because he was “always getting in trouble.”

“I’m always grateful for Coop that he came before me because he was always in trouble, and by the time I came along, my parents were very comfortable on all the rules,” Elle tells People.

His father, Archie Manning, says Cooper, his eldest son, “was always a funny little boy” who always “made others laugh.”

Meanwhile, Cooper tells People that he’s also grateful for his little brother: “I don’t think I’ve ever had an argument with Eli in my entire life.”

“We never have cross words for some reason, and there aren’t many people in your entire life who you’ve known for 44 years that haven’t said anything bad to you, you know?” Cooper says. “Just a little salty moment one way or the other, but we’re on a good run.”

Cooper jokes, “Although, I’m sure we’ll get into a big fight right after this interview.”

Eli and Cooper are also the brothers of former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning. “I think we find the same things funny, but we have different personalities,” Cooper says of his brothers.

As for his parents, Archie and Olivia Manning, Cooper thinks they “like” that all of their sons have different characters.

Says Cooper of his family, “We all love to give each other a hard time, love to give other people a hard time, and aren’t afraid to get a hard time.” “I think we’re all the same, but as you go up the age ladder, the edge definitely gets a little sharper.”

These days, the Mannings are living in different cities across the country, making it hard for them to spend time together. Cooper lives in New Orleans, where his parents, legendary New Orleans Saints quarterback Archie, 76, and Olivia, 72, also live. Eli lives in Summit, New Jersey with his wife Abby and their four children, and Peyton, 49, and her family live in Denver, Colorado.
