His last meal was just served at another Denny’s location.
The popular restaurant spot is closing doors across the country, and another one is also biting the dust.

According to WKTV, a Herkimer, New York Denny’s quietly closed in February.
This chain restaurant, known for its grand slam breakfast and late-night hours, is in the process of sunsetting several locations across the US.
Denny’s said last year it planned to close 150 underperforming stores.
The company went private in January after selling its business to a series of private equity groups.

“Denny’s will have increased flexibility and resources to invest in its brands, support franchisees and accelerate its growth initiatives,” a press release said.
“In connection with the closing, Denny’s shareholders received $6.25 in cash per share for each share of Denny’s common stock they owned.”
The company had more than 1,400 restaurants in September.
“With a well-known brand, a strong franchise base and loyal customers, Denny’s is an iconic piece of the American dream,” said Rohit Manocha, co-founder and managing director of TriArtisan, one of the private equity firms.
“Our team has significant investment experience in the restaurant industry, and our acquisition of Denny’s builds on our success with other full-service restaurant concepts.”
Last year, some locations in California, Idaho, Oregon and Ohio closed.
Former CEO Kelly Valade said at the time of the sale, “We are grateful for the hard work of our employees and franchisees who represent our restaurants with pride every day.”
“With the support of our new owners, we look forward to continuing to serve and delight guests across the country.”
The next closest Denny’s to the Herkimer location is in Utica, New York.
