dallas , North Texas, get ready for a classic temperature swing! After a cool start to the workweek in the 20s, DFW will quickly warm up, with highs reaching the 60s and even 70s by the end of the week. This is a true “Winter to Spring” swing for the DFW metroplex!
Monday Forecast: Bundle Up!
The work week begins with a widespread cold snap, with morning temperatures ranging from the low to mid 20s. Affect the air, and it will feel even cooler. The National Weather Service warned that wind chill will subside Monday morning. Be sure to take your heavy coat, gloves, and hat before heading out.
Due to sub-freezing temperatures, the NWS reminds residents to follow the “four P’s”: people (cover), pets (bring them indoors), pipes (cover outdoor faucets and turn off sprinklers to avoid icy surfaces), and plants (cover or bring sensitive plants inside).
Increasing clouds throughout the day will limit the heat, with maximum temperatures hovering around 40 to 50 degrees. Due to cloud cover, low temperatures tonight will only fall into the upper 30s to low 40s, keeping much of the area above freezing. Due to a weak disturbance, there will be cloudy sky, but the chance of rain will remain 0%.
7-day forecast: Unseasonal heat will come

The rest of the week sees a significant, unseasonal warm-up.
Highs again reached the low 60s on Tuesday. Apparently light breezes will persist through the middle and end of the week, with high temperatures expected to reach the mid 60s to mid 70s. There is a slight chance of scattered showers southeast of the metroplex on Wednesday, but overall, dry conditions are expected for the rest of the week.
We are tracking two small cold fronts. One is arriving late Thursday night and the other on Sunday. At this time, both of these systems are projected to move through a relatively dry area and no Arctic air is expected to arrive.
This trend of increasing temperature is expected to continue till next week.
