Cyberpunk platformer Replaced has once again been delayed

The long-awaited cyberpunk platformer Replaced . Pixel-art game, but will now be released on April 14th. It’s only a month, which isn’t a big deal considering this game.

Why the delay? Developer Sad Cat Studios says the game is “technically finished”, but the team needs a few more weeks to refine it. The company says it wants the day one release to be “enhanced, stable, and consistent with the vision” of the original concept. In my opinion, this is commendable.

It’s just that. However, the previous delay has been for very good reason. The development team had to relocate from Belarus to Cyprus following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Replaced is an absolutely gorgeous looking 2.5D platformer set in a dystopian alternative to 1980s America. You play as an AI reluctantly trapped in a human body. It looks to have plenty of cinematic action, promising a combination of “accurate melee attacks with satisfying ranged attacks.”

The game will be available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, and Microsoft Store. It will also be a day one Xbox Game Pass release.
