Joel Shoaf, a Texas country music legend, has lost his job working for a star singer and is facing some disturbing allegations after his interactions with a popular child predator group.
According to multiple reports, Shoaf was taken into custody in New Braunfels, Texas on November 13 and charged with a second-degree felony count of online solicitation of a minor under the age of 14.
according to whiskey riffShoaff was fired shortly after his arrest by country music star Parker McCallum, for whom he had been working since 2021.
Whiskey Riff also reported that Schoepff was arrested as part of a sting involving former college football player and child predator Alex Rosen, who has a massive following on social media as well as YouTube and locally.
Rosen shared a video of Shoaf being handcuffed on X on November 13.
“He’s a hunter,” Rosen said as Shoaff was loaded into a police vehicle behind him. “We grabbed him off of Reddit. He was interested in babies and young children.”
Rosen claimed that Schueff was visiting a 13-year-old boy.
“He’s getting what he deserves right now,” Rosen said.

Shoaf was reportedly released on November 14 on $50,000 bond. He has not yet been convicted of any crime.
Whiskey Riff said that Schueff’s LinkedIn shows he has “a long history of working in the country music industry in Texas.” The outlet said Shoaf also worked as a guitar tech for Cross Canadian Ragweed from 2006 to 2010, was the touring manager for Cody Canada and The Departed for two years, and was a tour manager for Reckless Kelly from 2020 to 2022.
Whiskey Riff said Schuef has also served as production manager for Willie Nelson’s Luck Reunion since 2012.
The outlet said Schuef’s most recent country music gig came as a guitar tech for McCallum starting in 2021 and he had been a stage manager for the singer since 2023.
