Civil war is brewing in the wasteland in Fallout S2 trailer

Purnell, Goggins, MacLachlan, and Moten all return for S2, along with Moises Arias as Lucy’s younger brother, Norm, and Frances Turner as Barb Howard, Cooper’s wife and a high-ranking Vault-Tech executive. Justin Theroux joins the S2 cast as Mr. Robert House, founder and CEO of Robo Industries, along with Macaulay Culkin (presumably playing Caesar) and Kumail Nanjiani, both of whom appear briefly in the new trailer.

The trailer begins with Maximus chatting with another resident of the wasteland, who emphasizes that he has seen a lot of crazy and unnatural things in his struggle to survive, but he has never seen any good people. Maximus meets a nice person: Lucy. But his acquaintance does not have this. “If I grew up in a comfortable, impenetrable home, I would also be a good person,” he says. “I wouldn’t have to steal and stab all the time just to get by.”

Of course, Lucy is challenged to maintain her fundamental decency while navigating a cruel surface world, being tough enough to do what is necessary to survive. She is now searching for her father with a new purpose: to bring him to justice, “so that people know how they conduct themselves matters, and they don’t lose hope.” (We saw a few glimpses of Hank, the most notable of which was an experiment on a rat in a lab, with disastrous results.) Ghoul, on the other hand, is searching for his family; That’s the only reason he hung around for 200 years. Meanwhile, a civil war is raging, and you know that all of our main cast will be caught up in the conflict.

second season of Controversy Premieres on December 17, 2025 on Prime Video.
