COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – The city’s annual Lights On event returns to Stephen C. Beachy Central Park.
On Thursday night, the holidays started at the park as families transitioned from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Attendees can drive or walk to the park to enjoy the various light designs, and admission is free.
Melissa Jansen said this is her third year participating in Lights On with her family. Her favorite part is walking among all the lights and looking at the giant Christmas tree.
“I like that this is an event that the whole community can come to – it’s free that we can enjoy the lights,” Janssen said. “It’s very family-friendly, my daughters, I bring them every year so they can enjoy all the lights in the park too.”
The holiday lights will be on daily from 6 to 11 p.m. through January 1.
