Preparations for the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade are well underway and on Tuesday in New York, Ciara, Jewel, Taylor Momsen, Lainey Wilson and other stars were seen on the city streets practicing for their performance that will take place on Thursday.
The holiday week has proven to be a rainy one in New York, so the stars took out their most trusty boots to stay warm and dry as they arrived for rehearsals. Celebrities stepped out wearing shoes from Uggs, Rick Owens, R13 and other brands that added to their casual and weather-appropriate ensembles. See what the stars wore for rehearsals.

Ciara stayed warm thanks to a pair of Uggs. She chose the Classic Tall II boot in all black, which costs $220. While the boots are made of sheepskin on the upper, they are water resistant due to the water-repellent treatment applied to the top, making them ideal for inclement weather.
The shoes feature an overlock stitch detail on the seams, a suede heel counter with the Ugg logo on it,
Sheepskin lining, a sheepskin insole and a lightweight sole to increase cushioning and traction. The “Low” singer paired the shoes with a black and white Baleniaga Soccer Oversized Puffer Jacket and black leggings.

Taylor Momsen arrived on the scene wearing her favorite platform combat boots. She chose one of her tried-and-true styles by wearing black R13 medium jump boots for rehearsal. Handmade leather combat boot features a lightweight stacked sole for comfort. The boot has an approximately four-inch heel, a 2.5-inch platform, and a nine-inch calf-high shaft.
The lace-up boot features a silver zipper closure on the side, the brand’s signature orange stitching around the sole and an ecru embroidered pull tab on the back of the shank. Momsen paired her boots with long socks and transparent black fishnet tights and an oversized black rain coat. The shoes retail for $1,575.

Like Momsen, Lainey Wilson also kept it consistent with her shoes. She chose a pair of red cowboy boots which she wore under wide-leg pants. Jeans hid most of the boots, except for the front of the foot, which showed a slightly square, pointed toe design like traditional cowboy boots.
The country singer matched the boots with her red, belted wrap coat, which featured white fur trim along the lapels and collar. She wore icy blue jeans with glitter flares and completed the look with a white cowboy hat that tied everything together.

Gehna was also present for the rehearsal. She arrived at rehearsal wearing a pair of Rick Owens’ Concordian Runway Factory boots. The midcalf boots are crafted in Italy and made from black nubuck leather. The pair balances atop a sculpted, angular platform sole measuring five and a half inches across. The shoes are built with a slanted heel and slanted toe platform.
The soles also feature an embossed, shark-tooth design on the bottom. The square toe shoes come with a pull tab at the back for easy donning and taking off. The shoes are from Rick Owens’ Fall 2025 collection and retail for $3,210 on the designer’s website.

The boots featured a zipper enclosure around the shaft, a round toe design, and a loose fit with a black sole and light block heel. She wore a brown belted coat and paired it with a brown sweater and skirt look, which she matched with transparent tights.
While the stars had to prepare for rain during rehearsals, there has been no rain as per the forecast for Thursday so far.
