I am saddened to post here to share the news that Chris Simpkins, who had a successful career organ transplant surgeon Before establishing myself as a font engineer, initially through my hack Programmer Fonts (a fork of DejaVu Sans Mono) and more recently as a program manager, my colleague inside the Google Fonts team passed away unexpectedly at the age of 51.
