Carly Irsay-Gordon’s game-day routine has been the same for a dozen years, and Now He’s famous?!

The same thing happened when she became CEO of the Indianapolis Colts.

Irsay-Gordon has been wearing a headset on the sidelines during games for more than a decade, preparing for a role she assumed when her father Jim Irsay died in May.

“I think it’s ridiculous,” Irsay-Gordon said in an interview on Fox59. “I asked people, I don’t want to be a distraction. I started doing it 12 years ago when no one paid attention, but now that I’ve got a title, it’s become more of a fascination. I’m just doing my thing, it’s an endless list of things to learn.”

Irsay-Gordon has impressed in his first season in charge. He cleared the midseason trade for cornerback Sauce Gardner, and his sideline look inspired Halloween costumes.

The Colts (8-3) lead the AFC South and are looking for their first playoff berth since 2020. Irsay-Gordon’s father talked about winning multiple Super Bowls, but she’s taking a measured approach.

“Dad used to say, ‘We’ll win three or five Super Bowls in a row,'” Irsay-Gordon said. “I think, we’re like, let’s put one foot in front of the other, but I think I’m very proud of our team and what they’ve done. I think we’re committed to being one of those teams that is consistently putting out a winning product on the field.”
