Butler basketball starting point guard

INDIANAPOLIS – Butler starting point guard Jalen Jackson will miss Friday’s game against Wright State because of an ankle injury.

Jackson dislocated his ankle during Butler’s second summer workout. He slowly made a comeback, dealing with a minutes restriction during the Bulldogs’ two exhibition games before being fully ready for the regular season opener against Southern Indiana.

The Fort Wayne transfer re-aggravated an ankle injury against Chicago State but returned for the next game against SMU. Jackson hurt his ankle again on Sunday against Virginia. He was taken out of practice on Tuesday, but could not make enough progress to play against Wright State.

Freshman Azavier “Stink” Robinson and grad transfer Yam Butler will see extended time at point guard outside of Jackson. Freshman guard Efeosa Oliogu-Elabor (ankle) also remains out with an injury.
