Buffalo Bills sign WR Brandin Cooks to active roster

The Buffalo Bills are making a move at receiver ahead of Week 13. The team announced that it has signed WR Brandin Cooks to the active roster.

Cook, a 12-year NFL veteran, reached an agreement with the Saints to be released from the team on November 22. After clearing waivers, Cook became a free agent and was free to sign with any team. Cook now joins the receiver room in Buffalo, marking the sixth team the former first-round pick will play for.

Cooks, drafted 20th overall by the Saints in 2014, has amassed 9,697 receiving yards, 60 touchdowns and 13.3 yards per catch during his career.

Cook has also performed well when his team has reached the playoffs. He has three 100-yard performances in seven appearances; He did so once with the Patriots (2018) and twice with the Los Angeles Rams (2019).
