BTS, one of the biggest K-pop acts in the world, is no stranger to explosive fan reactions — especially when something unexpected is said during a livestream. That’s what happened recently when BTS leader RM appeared at the Weavers session with Jimin which immediately put ARMYs into speculation mode. The band, whose journey has inspired countless newbies in the Korean entertainment industry, is currently preparing for their reunion and upcoming group album following the completion of all members’ military duties.
During the post-practice livestream on November 21, RM and Jimin joined fans for a surprise chat. However, things took a ridiculous turn when the duo realized that there was only one viewer of their broadcast. Jimin joked, “Only 1 person joined. The network doesn’t really work here, but there’s actually only 1 viewer.”
RM then laughed and said, “Let’s finish our tea. Time to end this?” Jimin immediately responded, “What do you mean, time to disband?” Before laughing. RM further joked, “Because there’s no one to see us now.” The playful interaction quickly spread across social media, with some fans momentarily confused and others amused by RM’s deadpan delivery.
The context behind that moment: RM was just kidding
While some viewers initially wondered if the leader was serious, fans quickly realized that the moment was meant to be humorous. RM and Jimin’s joke came across as two bandmates poking fun at poor connectivity and strangely low viewership – which was not a reflection of BTS’s future.
As the group prepares to reunite at full strength once all members complete their military service, BTS remains one of the strongest forces in the global music industry.
A quick look at BTS’ journey
BTS was formed in 2010 and consists of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. The group debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment with the single album “2 Cool 4 Skool”. Since then, he has written and co-produced most of his own music, proudly representing “Bangtan Sonyeondan”, which means Bulletproof Boy Scouts.
Their rise has been historic – BTS has become the fastest group since The Beatles to earn four number-one albums in less than two years. Songs such as “Life Goes On,” “Butter,” “My Universe,” “Permission to Dance,” and “Savage Love” solidified their global dominance, making them one of the most successful boy groups of all time.
Despite RM’s playful comment, fans can be assured that BTS is still together, and their next chapter is just beginning.
