Hannibal

Bryan Fuller confirms “everybody wants to come back” for a fourth season Hannibal during his recent appearance scary queues Podcast (via Bloody-Disgusting).

Everyone wants to return. Hugh [Dancy]and mads [Mikkelsen]Definitely. But also Laurence Fishburne, Katie Isabel, Caroline Devernasse, Lara Jean Chorostecki, Aaron Abrams and Scott [Thompson] Everyone wants to get back to the story. At the moment, it’s a little complicated since Martha De Laurentiis passed away.

The rights are in the process of returning to Thomas Harris. MGM/Amazon has something. All of them are being navigated in such a way that it will be a little difficult to sort out now. They’re in the process, and I keep touching base and trying to encourage people to get back together.

Fuller also discussed the copyright complexities of the series as well as his long-term plans for an adaptation silence of the Lambs.

I’ve talked a little bit about wanting to the silence of the Lambs Adaptation, which may free Gaumont from certain obligations to include [International Television]who is the studio HannibalYou can’t copyright a performance, you know? So there are things that we’re trying to figure out if we can avoid, that would make it an easier path to shake up the possibilities of things that we might be prevented from doing at this point given the rights situation,

i know exactly which one season 4 is Hannibal isAnd I was disappointed with Season 1. It felt somewhat like traditional television to me. There was a lot more of the ‘murder mystery of the week’ crime procedural kind of thing. As an audience member I wasn’t necessarily attracted to it, but I thought Season 2 was better. Season 3, I said, ‘Okay, this is what we should do.’ This is what I want to do. I think that’s the type of storytelling that this show can do. And there are a lot of people who don’t like Season 3, and I said, ‘Well, you don’t really want a Season 4, because that’s it.’ If you weren’t disappointed with Season 3, you won’t mind the plans for Season 4 because it’s headed in the same direction.
