Enhypen’s Heseung would leave the group and debut as a solo artist.
On March 10, ENHYPEN’s agency BELIFT LAB shared the following official statement:
Hello, this is BELIFT Lab.
We would like to express our gratitude to ENGENE for their unwavering support of ENHYPEN and provide information about ENHYPEN’s future activities.
BELIFT LAB has put much thought and consideration into ENHYPEN’s future direction and goals. Through in-depth discussions with each member about their future vision and the direction of the team, it became clear that Hyesung has his own unique musical vision and we decided to respect that.
Thus, Hesheng will separate from ENHYPEN, and ENHYPEN will continue official activities as a six-member group.
It is difficult to convey the entire process through a short notice, but this decision has come after extensive deliberations. We understand that there is a lot to be processed on this news and that it may receive mixed reactions. Nevertheless, we hope you understand that this decision was made for the future of Enhypen and Hesheng.
ENHYPEN is committed to sharing energetic performance with ENGENE. Heesung will be releasing a solo album as an artist under BELIFT LAB.
We ask for continued love and support from ENGENE for ENHYPEN and Heeseung as they begin a new chapter of their journey.

Hello, I’m Heesung.
First of all, I know that many people will be very surprised to hear this news about me, and I think that many of you will have questions in your mind because of this sudden news. That’s why I wanted to speak directly to ENGENE.
The six years I have spent here have been so full of tremendous and precious moments that it is difficult to fully put them into words. Thanks to the members who shared countless emotions with me and thanks to all of you ENGENE who always filled every gap with your support, I was able to take one step after another towards a dream that once seemed impossible to reach.
Those times will remain some of the brightest moments of my life. I’ll never forget those moments, and I want to remain the person who supports Enhypen more than anyone else.
As I shared the results of my work with the company, we spent a lot of time discussing with several people about the best way to present it. After thinking deeply about it for a long time, I made a big decision to follow the instructions suggested by the company so that I could return to ENGENE with an even better version of myself.
As ENGENE everyone knows, I have continued to work on my projects and spend a lot of time hoping that one day I will be able to show them to you. There were a lot of things I wanted to share, but I also didn’t want to just push my own desires within the team.
I am well aware of your concerns and many of the things being said. I am working hard to prepare so that I can meet you again as soon as possible. My desire to come back and welcome you with my better self is completely genuine.
Because ENGENE has always given immense love and support to a person like me, who still has a lot to improve, I am also very saddened to know how surprised and concerned you must be. But I believe these feelings come from the care and interest you show me.
I will keep moving forward with the immense love you have given me imprinted in my heart.
