Billy Crudup gives a rare glimpse of his parenting relationship with ex Mary-Louise Parker, 22 years after he left her for Claire Danes.
“Well, without any comment from us…,” Crudup told the Times in an interview published Thursday.
The “Weeds” star — whom Crudup had been dating for seven years — was seven months pregnant when she began a relationship with her “Stage Beauty” co-star.

Crudup and Parker’s son, 21-year-old William Atticus Parker, has followed in his parents’ footsteps and is now a writer, director, and actor.
“The combination of the two of us gives him superpowers for drama,” Crudup told the outlet.
He added, “He’s such a badass.” “Marie-Louise and I appeared in most of his films.”
Parker’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Crudup, now 57, and Parker, 61, met as co-stars in the 1996 Broadway production of “Bus Stop.”
The “Morning Show” actor met Danes – who was dating Ben Lee at the time – in 2003, and the two went public in 2004 after leaving their respective partners.
Danes and Crudup went their separate ways in 2007, but the widely publicized romance left an impact on everyone involved.

Meanwhile, Parker detailed his ordeal in his 2015 memoir, “Dear Mister You.”
“I’m pregnant and alone. Even breathing hurts,” she wrote via a note to a cab driver who was taking her to a doctor.
In 2007, Parker adopted 18-year-old daughter Ash from Ethiopia and was briefly engaged to “Weeds” co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan in 2008.

Danes, now 46, married Hugh Dancy in 2009, and the couple have since had three children.
Crudup has tied the knot with Oscar winner Naomi Watts in 2023 — and despite their complicated past, Parker had only supportive words for Crudup and Watts.
“I wish him well,” Parker told the Guardian.
“And of course, I honestly definitely wish them every happiness because he’s the father of my son. So I’m happy for them. I’m glad they found each other.”
