Bills QB Josh Allen and Steelers DT Cameron Heyward get into altercation

Josh Allen is fearless. Even if it means going from facemask to facemask with the seven-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback talked trash with Pittsburgh Steelers’ Cameron Heyward on Sunday.

Allen ran for a first-down on third-and-3 in the second quarter and stayed on the ground momentarily. Hayward, 6-for-5, a 295-pounder with 90 career sacks, objected to something after the game.

Hayward got to his feet, came over to Allen and pushed his helmet into Allen’s as the two stars began yelling at each other. The CBS broadcast picked up the profanity during the exchange.

Bills offensive linemen Alec Anderson and Ryan Van DeMark stepped up to try to separate Hayward from the cluster. Hayward continued pointing at Allen as the referees tried to calm Hayward, the NFL’s 2023 Walter Payton Man of the Year.

Later in the drive, Allen scrambled and slipped for 1 yard, but was slapped down by Patrick Queen, who was not called for a penalty. Buffalo players came to Allen’s defense and a scuffle occurred but no flag was thrown.

Quinn was injured in the next game and Allen and Hayward continued verbal attacks during the injury stoppage.
