Nina Dobrev wore a bikini in Mexico for her first Thanksgiving celebration since splitting from longtime love Shaun White.
The former “Vampire Diaries” actress was photographed hanging out with friends at a beach resort, wearing a black-and-white striped bikini and sunglasses and soaking up some rays.
At one point, the actress waved a large beach umbrella over her shoulder while holding a beverage in the other hand.
The actress showed off multiple angles of the halter-style bikini, which included skin-showing thong bottoms, during her sunny beach vacation.
Dobrev, 36, was also seen happily emerging from the waves with a friend after taking a dip in the ocean.
The actress’ beach holiday comes two months after she ended her engagement with the 39-year-old Olympic champion after being together for five years.
“It was a mutual decision, and not an easy one, but it was made with love and deep respect for each other,” an insider told People of the split in September.
Later that month, the actress was spotted getting cozy with Disney alum Zac Efron during a yacht vacation with friends off the coast of Sardinia, though she later denied to TMZ that they were an item.
In the days following their sudden split, a source told the Daily Mail that the pair had different priorities.
“Shawn has retired and played his last Olympics, he was very ready for marriage and kids and all the things that come with that,” the insider said, referring to the Beijing 2022 Winter Games, where the professional snowboarder finished fourth in the men’s halfpipe.
“Nina was on board but she was also very interested in seeing where her acting career would go, because it was and is very important to her,” he shared, adding that the athlete was also looking at “becoming an entrepreneur after her snowboarding career is over.”
The source said White was thinking about family life as his athletic career ended.
“He was preparing to be a father and wanted that kind of life,” the source said.
“Although they had similar ideals and wanted to enjoy the same ride, they naturally could not come together on a common goal and that was the strain in their relationship.”
The source said the pair — who began dating during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 — are “stuck in their own ways.”
“They were smart enough to hang out while still being young and they could still move on from each other without any trouble,” the insider said.
After four years of dating, White got down on one knee to ask Dobrev in October 2024.
“She said yes 💍♾️,” White captioned a series of romantic, flower-filled proposal photos. Dobrev also shared the news, captioning her post, “RIP boyfriend, hello fiancee 💍♾️.”
