V15s detects submarines

This is a version of our favorite Dyson vacuum that can not only vacuum, but also mop thanks to the included submarine mop head. You can’t attach it to an existing V15 vacuum, but if you’re in the market for a new stick vacuum and you also have hard floors, this is a great vacuum. Wired reviewer Adrienne So tested the Submariner and said this vacuum is one of the best things that has ever happened to her.

If you’re looking for the current top-of-the-line Dyson vacuum, this is the one. The Gen5 Detect is powerful with three cleaning modes and a good set of accessories, and it’s our top pick for vacuuming pet hair because it does a great job of pulling out pet hair deep into carpets and rugs. It also has a simple power button, which you won’t find on cheaper Dyson sticks; These have a trigger button which you have to press and hold.

If you’ve ever wanted to straighten your hair without having to go to the wall or worry about a cord, Dyson’s Coral straightener is the answer. This is a cordless straightener that has a little charging stand that it can sit on, making it easy to charge and hold when you’re ready to use it. All of our curly-haired testers approved of this straightener, although it does have a bit of a learning curve with its segmented plates.

If you want to straighten your hair right out of the shower, the AirStraight is Dyson’s wet-to-dry straightener. It has inspired many people, but if you want the real thing, now is the right time to buy it during the sale. While some of our curly testers still needed regular hair straighteners to complete the look, WIRED reviewer Kat Merk (who has mid-back length 3a curly hair) said this tool still significantly cuts down her styling time.

Hashjet Purifier Compact

Dyson makes our favorite tabletop air purifier, the HushJet. It stands only 1 1/2 feet tall and weighs 7 pounds, and is best used in a small room like an office or bedroom. WIRED contributing critic Lisa Wood Shapiro described it this way dune Reminiscent of sandworms with their cylindrical shape and straight stream of pure air. It does not have a HEPA filter, rather it is an electrostatic filter. It is not on the California Air Resources Board (CARB) list yet, but it is new, so hopefully it will be added to the list in the future.
