It’s also a combi cooker, allowing the oven to circulate steam to maintain moisture on larger pieces of meat. And it’s also an app-controlled probe cooker, which you can set to slowly bring the meat up to temperature before finishing it off with a blast of heat.

Presumably these low prices aren’t just spring fever. Dreo has long hinted that it plans to release a somewhat simplified, AI-guided successor called ChefMaker 2 soon. This huge price cut is a good sign that the second generation device will be released soon. But if you like steaks and chops that are easy to cook deliciously, and you’re not worried about AI recipes, just grab a good price on this one.
Just keep in mind that while the probe-assisted cook is very well controlled on the temperature front, the thermostat on a “classic” non-probe air fryer or toaster oven cook can go 20 degrees or more off target. That’s true of a lot of ovens, and it’s true here too.
