Best Digital Notebook Deals
Some of the best digital notebooks we’ve tried have come from ReMarkable, and a model from ReMarkable always ranks highest on our digital notebook guides. While the Paper Pro Move is the latest model, the reMarkable Paper Pro, launched in September 2024, is my current favourite. It’s not only powerful with tons of tools and an easy interface, but it also packs a colorful screen for colorful notes. It also has a light front light so you can use it in dark environments. You can get the bundles on sale right now, so combine one of ReMarkable’s markers and folio covers with the Paper Pro to get $50 off.
The best discount from Remarkable is actually for its older device and our previous top pick, the Remarkable 2. It doesn’t have a color screen or front light, but you’ll find Remarkable’s great software and options for accessories like a keyboard folio to use it like a laptop. The Remarkable 2 Bundle is also on sale, so add your favorite folio of choice on Remarkable’s website to get $70 off.
The Kobo Libra Color is my favorite all-around e-reader with its color screen and page turner button, but you can also add a stylus to it to double as a digital notebook. This is one of the more affordable options, and it has a smaller screen than the rest of these, but I especially like that you can use the stylus to doodle on the books you’re reading (something you can’t do with the Kindle Scribe). Kobo has a $30 discount on their site for Cyber Monday.
The second-generation Kindle Scribe isn’t the best digital notebook, but the long battery life (12 weeks!!) and its convenient starting point of having a Kindle on which I was already reading makes it a great choice for casual note takers and doodlers. It’s a good option for Kindle and Amazon users, and there are new models coming this winter, but they probably won’t be as cheap as this one. (Especially when some of those new models will have colors!)
If you like the idea of getting a Kobo e-reader that also works as a digital notebook, you can opt for a more classic size with the larger Ellipsa 2e. It comes with a stylus, so you won’t need to attach it, and it’s $50 off.
The Rocketbook Fusion Plus digital planner and notebook is for those who don’t want to charge their notebook or give up the whole “paper” experience. Take notes with the included, erasable Pilot Frixion pen, scan photos of pages into the app, and wipe the whole thing down with a damp microfiber cloth (also included). Fusion Plus is at the biggest discount in recent memory, and it comes with templates ranging from monthly and weekly pages to project management and meeting notes.
