Amazon’s Black Friday sale officially started on November 20, a week before Black Friday. But as you probably know at this point, the actual sales dates are blurred beyond recognition. Many deals, especially on Amazon’s own devices, went live just days before the event — and will likely still be there after all is said and done. Aside from Prime Day, Black Friday season is the best time of year to buy Amazon devices cheap.

Prices for many Fire tablets, Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Blink security cameras hit record-lows early on. We were particularly impressed by the Fire TV deals, with up to $210 off some 2025 models. Not to mention the best Fire Stick deal I’ve personally ever seen is still going strong. Echo speakers and smart displays, as well as the Kindle, were slow to arrive, but have now actually hit an all-time low.

Amazon’s best iPad competitor and our favorite Fire tablet, the Fire Max 11, is available at Amazon during the Black Friday sale for $189.99 (for the version with double the storage) — a savings of over 30%. As Mashable’s reviewer said, “The Amazon Fire Max 11 has a large, 11-inch display and is blazing fast, making it a good alternative to pricier tablets for streaming and gaming.” It also has 8MP cameras that support 1080p video, an octa-core processor, WiFi 6 compatibility, and 14 hours of battery life. Although it is a few years old, it is the latest generation of tablets available. (The 64GB model is currently sold out after a 39% early Black Friday discount. I’ve said it before, but the original Kindle is my pride and joy, and I grudgingly recommend it to everyone I talk to. I predicted it would drop to $79.99 for Black Friday, and I’ve never been so happy to be right. This is $30 cheaper than usual and the best price ever. The basic Kindle is the most compact Amazon e-reader — it’s small enough to slip into my purse — and it has the same screen resolution and paper-like display as its more expensive brother. The only downside is that it’s not waterproof, so take extra caution when reading near water.
