Wired Special Deals:
Albany Park Barton Sofa at $1,683 ($906 off)
The Albany Park Barton Sofa is our favorite sofa overall. We tested it in vegan leather, which requires a few blankets due to its cool temperatures during the colder months, but there are 38 fabric options to choose from. You can also customize the finish of the legs. It’s stable and durable, with wide arms that can hold your phone or coffee cup. Assembly also wasn’t too difficult, although it would be easier if you had someone to help.
Benchmark Modern Laguna Sofa for $2,247 ($749 off)
The Benchmark Modern Laguna comes in your choice of three styles: a sofa, a sofa with a chair, and a sectional. It has 111 fabric options, as well as three foot customizations. But the best part is that you can opt for a single bench seat instead of multiple cushions. You no longer have to adjust the seats back and forth while trying to get comfortable, and you no longer have to take a nap on the couch only to wake up resting your hip on the frame between the seats. Reviewer Nena Farrell says the single bench seat has remained comfortable and supportive in the years since she first tried it.
Koala Bungalow Modular Sofa at $3,500 ($1,500 off)
We believe everyone should have a modular sofa, and while we’ve tested many great options, the Koala Bungalow is our top recommendation. Keep in mind that this comes in several large boxes; While it’s relatively easy to put the pieces together, pulling off the seat covers takes a bit of assembly. However, once it is put together, this sofa is gorgeous, sturdy, and comfortable. The seats are deep and sturdy, and you can reconfigure the sofa to suit the living room arrangement that best suits your needs.
Medley Lala Modern Organic Sofa at $3,470 ($385 off)
Reviewer Scott Gilbertson tested organic mattresses and also liked this organic sofa. It’s made from organic latex and wool, and although there’s a slight woolly smell upon arrival, the smell quickly dissipates. This sofa strikes a good balance between plush comfort and firm support, and the sofa becomes even more comfortable as you break it down. There are hundreds of fabric options to choose from. Added bonus: It’s dog approved.
Joybird Eliot Sleeper Sofa at $1,998 ($1,447 off)
I love the Joybird Eliot, and not just because I ordered it in hot-pink velvet. The completely custom sofa is well made and comfortable, although it is a little stiff (which I like). It features a queen-sized pull-out mattress that you can customize with two foam options; I tested the Tempur-Pedic premium version, and it’s very comfortable (which my house guests have also commented on). I wish the arms were a little wider, but overall, this sofa is easy to recommend to anyone looking to add some extra sleeping space to their homes.
