Meanwhile, users reported a variety of errors, slow pages and inaccessible password reset options on the site and app. Support staff suggested buyers clear their cache or DM the Best Buy support account for any continuing issues.
Amid a flood of tech sales and customers turning to the Internet to score big, Best Buy’s website is shutting down as users are reporting multiple outages trying to cash in on Black Friday deals. Maybe it’s time to move on to the app, except our shopping journalists had problems with it too.

Users took to social media to complain about viral iPad thefts and inconvenient website crashes while trying to cash in on huge doorbuster deals on things like QLED 4K TVs and Windows laptops — hot commodities during the post-Thanksgiving shopping frenzy. One X user wrote, “Did Best Buy’s website crash or did they literally sell out of every single iPad? I hate Black Friday.”

According to Down Detector, shoppers first started reporting power outages around 9:40 a.m. ET. An hour later, the graph grew exponentially, with more than 1,000 users reporting problems with the Best Buy site.
