We’ve ruled 65 inches as the sweet spot for most people, though if you go even bigger, these curated picks will shine, too. All included options come in 75 or 77 inches, with most expanding to 83 or 85 inches.

Best QLED TV for most people

Another QLED pick worth considering

If you’re worried about getting close to $1,000, the QM8K’s more affordable brother, the TCL QM6K, is a solid choice for a mini LED TV. It’s been getting five-star reviews since its release at CES in January 2025, and comes in a 55-inch version (whereas the QM8K can’t be smaller than 65 inches). With a 500 zone Mini LED backlight, Pendlebury was impressed with this budget model’s deep black levels. He noted that during darker movies the QM6K’s detailed shadows stood out more clearly than the similarly priced Roku Pro.

It’s no exaggeration to say that the QM6K is the best budget mini LED TV right now – especially with the 65-inch QM6K priced at a Black Friday price of $699.99. Mashable senior shopping reporter Leah Stoddart recently upgraded to this model in her apartment, and she noticed Chief There’s a difference in how colors pop compared to his old LED 4K TV, and he no longer has to squint to make out details while watching football during the day.

It’s based on the beloved 2024 C4 with higher peak brightness (especially in HDR) and an improved anti-glare screen coating needed for rooms with heavy natural light. But as we’ve come to expect from the C Series, the C5’s wheelhouse is still one of stark contrast and impeccable image quality. Much of this impeccable quality is effortless on your part too, thanks to the addition of Filmmaker Mode, in which the TV changes its settings to preserve the director’s intended aspect ratio, color and frame rate (instead of you making adjustments by hand). The C5 earns high marks from gamers with its 144Hz refresh rate and four HDMI ports, setting it apart from the LG B5’s 120Hz.

The headline of CNET’s LG C5 review confirms that you were smart to wait until Black Friday for this: “LG C5 OLED TV review: Great picture; wait for the price drop now,” Pendlebury advises. Well, the price has actually dropped – the 65-inch LG C5 TV is 48% off at Best Buy for Black Friday. That makes it $1,399.99 instead of the usual $2,699.99, making it not even $100 more expensive than the 65-inch C4 (on clearance for $1,274.99). If you were stuck in the C4 vs C5 loop before, there’s no reason not to choose C5 now.

Another OLED pick worth considering

If you know your TV time will be evenly split between daytime and nighttime viewing or gaming, the Samsung S95F is the rare OLED option that will actually perform equally well in a dark home theater or a well-lit living area. You’d be hard-pressed to find a brighter OLED TV with more complex image quality. CNET couldn’t help but rank it among the best 65-inch TVs you can buy in 2025.

Another aspect that contributes to the great display of this TV is the matte finish. This isn’t a feature you see often in non-arts TV, and it is so Impressive enough that it could put the S95F ahead of LG’s G5 (often considered the brightest OLED TV). According to Pendlebury, it has the best glare reduction in its class in a bright room: “This matte finish really works, reducing glare from windows and other glare rather than super-bright, mirror-like distractions.”

Compared to last year’s S95D, which also benefited from an anti-glare finish, the S95F’s black levels run in circles around the S95D in a bright room. Compared to the LG C5, the only major downfall of the S95F is its hefty price tag. The 65-inch Samsung S95F is $2,299.99 for Black Friday — about $1,000 more expensive than the Black Friday sale price of the 65-inch C5.

The Frame Pro is Samsung’s first Frame model decked out with a Mini LED panel, which is what Samsung means when it says “Neo QLED.” More individually controlled bulbs lead to more precise lighting, the benefit of which is best reflected in the Frame Pro’s strong color accuracy.

Cinephiles won’t be thrilled by the Frame Pro’s limited contrast, but they’re not the main market for a premium art TV like the Frame Pro anyway. No, the target audience is people who want a shiny, realistic digital picture frame first and a good TV second. Greenwald was “impressed by the detail and realism” of the famous paintings displayed on the Frame Pro from the Samsung Art Store. “They looked like well-lit versions of the real paintings, and while I haven’t seen any of the Bosch ones directly, I will say that Magritte’s “The Menaced Assassin” on Frame Pro is a striking image of the real work at MoMA,” he asserts. “Photos also look excellent, reflecting a picture in the frame rather than a glowing TV.”

The Frame Pro leaves something to be desired when it comes to gaming. Greenwald pointed to high input lag (likely due to the wireless One Connect box), so anyone looking for a beautiful living room TV masquerading as a gaming TV probably shouldn’t compromise on this. Similarly, the Frame Pro isn’t very bright, even with the help of its mini LED backlight – however, its impressive matte finish puts it ahead of the glossy finishes of non-art TVs.

Another art TV selection worth considering

The OG Samsung Frame is a clearly less expensive alternative to its Pro sibling. Maybe we didn’t need to tell you this. However, there is still a frame duplicate to be considered in depth. The 2025 Hisense CanvasTV is a much-loved underdog in a market previously dominated by Samsung.

Gamers eyeing a more budget-friendly matte TV should go with the Hisense Canvas and its 144Hz versus The Frame and its 120Hz. If you’re a stickler for HDR, you may also prefer Hisense’s Dolby Vision support over Samsung’s HDR10+ support.
