Winter Weather Advisory Monday Night

This system will start out with a wintry mix this evening but after midnight, the primary precipitation will be wet snow. It will first accumulate on higher surfaces and melt on the roads. But with time the speed of snowfall will become so fast that even the roads will get stuck. Our main window for snow accumulation is midnight to 6 a.m. By the time we join the morning rush, 2-4″ of snow will be on the ground and this will have a direct impact on travel. I will also keep an eye on announcements from area schools regarding delayed starts or cancellations on Tuesday.
