Australia Boomers and New Zealand Tall Black face off in the second of two World Cup qualifying games on Monday night and if the last meeting between the two is anything to go by, it could be down to the wire.

The Boomers produced a strong performance to beat the Tall Blacks 84-79 in last Friday’s encounter, with Will Hickey being the late-game hero, while Jaylin Galloway continued his impressive play on the international stage with 19 points.

That game took place on Australian soil in Hobart, but now the Boomers will travel across the gap with both teams to play in Wellington.

In the Asian Qualifiers, Australia and New Zealand are part of Group A along with the Philippines and Guam, with the top three in their group advancing to the next round.
