ATP Brisbane Day 5 Predictions Including Dimitrov vs Collignon

Brisbane is always one of the most exciting pre-Australian Open ATP events and this year has been no exception so far. Entering the decisive phase of the tournament, Day 5, which will consist of the remaining four rounds of 16 matches, should provide plenty of exciting action, even if none of the top players are in action.

ATP Brisbane Day 5 Predictions

Quentin Haileys vs. Brandon Nakashima

head to head: first meeting

Nakashima continues to rise and will look to break into the top 20 in 2026; He will be particularly confident here after his excellent performance against Alejandro Dadidovich Fokina in the first round. Hayley is not an easy opponent but Nakashima is clearly the better player of the two and should be able to take the lead here.
Prediction: Nakashima in 2

Rinki Hijikata vs. Giovani Mpetshi Pericard

head to head: Mpetshi Pericard 1-0 Hijikata

Mpetshi Pericard had a very bad 2025, but he made a very good start to 2026 with a vintage serving performance to defeat Tommy Paul in the first round here. With this service, he is always in danger of beating anyone on any given day, but is also in danger of losing, with many matches being decided in tiebreaks. This should also be extremely close, especially considering how well Hijikata is playing.

Cameron Nouri vs. Alexander Kovacevic

Prediction: Kovacevic 1-0 Nori

Kovačević had a good season in 2025, reaching two ATP finals and reaching a career high of #58. He can play some very good tennis at times, but when it comes to consistency he really doesn’t lag behind Norrie, who is far from his top 10 days but continues to work hard and get good results on the tour. On a normal day for the two, Nori would be the one passing by.
Prediction: Nori in 3

Raphaël Collignon vs. Grigor Dimitrov

head to head: first meeting

2025 was a very brutal year for Grigor Dimitrov, as his injury when he was close to eliminating Jannik Sinner at Wimbledon largely ended his season and his ranking dropped to #47. He will be looking to progress again this year and in the first round against Pablo Carreno Busta he showed that he still has the potential to become a top player if his body allows him. Collignon will be looking for a breakout season in 2026, and given the level he showed against Denis Shapovalov, he should at the very least make this a very interesting match.
Prediction: Dimitrov in 3
