Crepin Dietta
Further changes to AS Monaco’s official team list for this season’s Champions League campaign. Crepin Dieta has once again been dropped from the team.
Last September, AS Monaco took advantage of a UEFA regulation that allows a player sidelined due to an injury lasting at least 60 days to be replaced by a teammate on the Champions League eligible list. At that time, Crepin Dieta replaced Dennis Zakaria.
However, with the return of the ASM captain from injury after two months, the Swiss midfielder has regained his place on the UEFA list. As a result, Crepin Dieta has once again been removed from the team. It is a headache for new Monaco coach Sebastien Pocognoli, who was counting on the Senegal international. “Crépin is a very important player for me, for my system. He is one of the guys who has definitely been performing at a very high level since I arrived, but it is just the way it is. The decision was made even before I came here, so we adapt,” The ASM boss admitted that he was not responsible for drawing up the list at the start of the season.

However, Monaco will have the opportunity to amend their team list in January ahead of the knockout stage.
