Apple’s M4-powered laptop drops to $750 before Black Friday

The Apple MacBook Air M4 laptop has been hovering at $799 on Amazon for a long time — a full $200 less than the Apple Store price. But it dropped to $749, which is the lowest price we’ve seen since the model was introduced in March. The sale is for models with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage in all four colors, but the 512GB model is also down to $949 — which is another all-time low compared to the Apple Store’s $1,199 price.

We’ve ranked it as our favorite Apple laptop in our list of the best MacBook computers. Hey, this is our very favorite laptop. Full stop. Performance is exceptionally fast thanks to the M4 chip. We appreciated the improved battery life, which now lasts about 18 hours per charge. That’s more than a full day’s work.

The design is lightweight, but strong. It has become a hallmark for modern MacBook Air computers. The screen is both gorgeous and huge, even though it’s technically only a 13-inch panel. It has support for P3 wide color gamut and can reach up to 500 nits brightness.

It’s an almost perfect laptop, but it has some flaws. There’s no USB-C port on the right side, limiting how users can arrange accessories on the desk. Also, the screen is capped at a 60Hz refresh rate. Another potential complication is the looming specter of the M5 chip. The company has already released the MacBook Pro M5, so a new MacBook Air is likely to arrive in the near future. (Read: sometime in early 2026).

If you need more screen space, you’ll also get a similar discount on the 15-inch MacBook Air at Amazon. Most color options are off by $250 and are down to $949 for the base model (you guessed it – another all-time low).
