Apple just reported its best-ever quarter for iPhone sales

Apple shared its latest quarterly financial results today and the news is once again very good for the Cupertino company. The quarter ending December 27, 2025 was the “best quarter ever” for iPhones, generating a record high revenue of approximately $85.27 billion for the business. Apple no longer discloses the number of devices sold, but despite the prices of many of its latest generation smartphones exceeding $1,000 a pop, that still equates to a lot of iPhones.

“Demand for the iPhone was extremely surprising,” CEO Tim Cook said on a conference call to discuss the results. “This is our strongest iPhone lineup yet and our most popular yet.”

That wasn’t the only big number in the earnings report. Services revenue also recorded its biggest quarter ever, rising 14 percent compared to the same period last year to just over $30 billion. It was Apple’s biggest quarter ever in terms of total revenue, amounting to approximately $143.76 billion for the already extremely wealthy company.
