Apartment fire near me: Dozens misplaced after large building fire in Carpentersville, Illinois at 104 Meadow Ct.

Carpentersville, Ill. (WLS) — Firefighters battled a massive blaze at a north suburban apartment complex Saturday morning.

The Carpentersville Fire Department said the fire broke out in the morning at the Meadowdale Apartments, located at 104 Meadowdale Ct.

Firefighters said the fire started somewhere on the first floor and spread to the roof.

It is seen in the video that large flames of fire are coming out from the roof of the building.

Twenty-three families were displaced, village president John Skillman said.

One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

No firefighters were injured.

A donation drop-off site was set up at the Village of Carpentersville Public Works Building at 1075 Tamarack Drive, Skillman said.

The Red Cross, Kane County OEM and the local Moose Lodge were assisting residents affected by the fire.
