Angry customers throw steak and other food at Denny’s employees: Highland Heights Police Blotter

Disturbance: Wilson Mills Road

On November 21, there was a disturbance at Denny’s when a man and woman threw food at employees around 4:15 a.m.

The unidentified man and woman were gone before officers arrived.

Staff said the two had come to pick up an Uber Eats order and started arguing because they felt their order was wrong.

After this, when the staff chased them, they threw the food ordered inside and outside the restaurant.

The food thrown away was said to include a steak.

Detectives are working to identify the suspects so they can be charged accordingly.

Disturbance: Wilson Mills Road

A man said on November 18 that he had exchanged words with a motorist who struck him and his wife as they were visiting Burgers 2 Beer.

He said a man, claiming to be the owner of a neighboring Verizon store, came over and yelled at him as well.

Authorities have not located any other people involved. The man did not want to pursue the matter further.

A 20-year-old woman came to the police station on November 21 to report harassment by a man whom she had been spending time with since meeting her a few weeks ago.

She said he was coming to her family’s home and had sent messages saying she was playing with his emotions and that he “shouldn’t mess with her.”

She said that when she came home he even followed her to the police station, but when he saw her pulling into the parking lot he continued driving.

She only knew his username from Snapchat and did not know his real name or age.

Police is investigating.

General Assistance: Highland Road

Mulligan’s Pub employees said on November 18 that a man refused to leave when they asked because he was smoking a marijuana cigarette at his table.

Officers found the man outside the business and, after confirming he was OK, gave him a courtesy ride to his home in town.

An Aberdeen Crossing employee said on November 24 that he was being harassed by a female acquaintance who said she was going to come to his workplace to assault him.

Officers spoke with the employee and determined that no threats were made.

Error:Alpha Drive

Sky Zone management reported on November 22 that a group of teenagers were threatening to fight.

Responding officers escorted the two teenagers out of the business at the request of management.
