Google is bringing a new feature to Chrome that will add a bookmarks bar to the browser on Android foldables and tablets. Viewed by 9to5GoogleThe move will make the browsing experience on larger mobile devices more similar to laptops and desktops running Chrome. For those who like to do more robust computing on their mobile gadgets, this will be extremely welcome. It is running version 146 of the Android version of the browser, which was released today.
The mobile version of the bookmarks bar will appear below the omnibox, displaying the favicon and site name. A chevron will appear to scroll deeper into the list of bookmarks, and a long press on a bookmark will display the entire URL.
If you’re excited to take advantage of this new tool, you’ll have to enable it manually. By default, devices will be set to “Hidden on narrow screens.” Go to Settings, then Appearance and finally select “Show bookmarks bar”.
