A 2-month-old boy was abducted in Rex on Tuesday, prompting police to activate the Amber Alert system in Levi Call, Georgia.
Clayton County Police said 2-month-old boy Roman Williams may be in extreme danger, according to the alert. He was last seen at 8:35 am wearing a gray onesie.
Tariq Williams, 25, 5 feet 7 inches and 120 pounds, had kidnapped her, police said.
According to a news release, the child was taken after an altercation where the father, Tarik Williams, attacked the mother and took her car with Roman.
He was last seen in Rex on Lake Harbin Road and headed toward I-75. They are driving a silver 2017 Volkswagen Fiat, Georgia tag number DCA8894.
Investigators believe Williams may be traveling south with the intention of going to Florida.
Warrants have been obtained for Williams for kidnapping, false imprisonment, simple battery, theft by taking a motor vehicle, theft by taking, interference with a 911 call and third-degree cruelty to children.
