Amazon Spring Sale Deal: The Typhur Dome 2 Air Fryer Is 30% Off

i was one Converting to the air fryer late, partly because I was concerned about versatility: How many wings and nuggets and fries does one need? (Don’t answer. The answer will incriminate you.)

The Tyfer Dome 2 is the air fryer that has eliminated this worry by adding pizza, browned meat, grilled asparagus and toasted bread to the list – not to mention perfect crispy bacon. It’s an innovative appliance that handles most of the functions of a classic assisted oven, but with far more powerful convection.

Having tested over 30 air fryers over the past year, the Dome 2 is what I know to be far and away the most powerful, versatile, accurate, and fast air fryer. I’ve been rooting for this thing since I tried it for the first time last year. But one big caveat is always the price: it lists at $500 and rarely drops much below $400.

So imagine my surprise when I saw the Dome 2 drop to $340 for Amazon’s Spring Sale, the lowest it’s been since Black Friday. If you’re looking to upgrade your old Basket Air Fryer, now is probably a good time. This sale will run till 31st March.

Fast, versatile, app-controlled cook

So why is the Dome 2 my favorite air fryer? Typhoor, a tech-forward company based in San Francisco but with engineering and manufacturing roots in China, re-imagined the form and function of the classic basket fryer by creating a wider and shallower basket with individually controlled dual heating elements.

That means Dome 2 has room for freezer pizza, and can apply heat directly from below to add real char-spots and crispiness to the crust, much like a combination grill-oven. The dome’s shallow basket also lets you spread ingredients in a single layer for excellent airflow, while heating on both sides. I can crisp up two dozen wings in just 14 minutes (or 17 minutes if I fry hard). The Dome toasts bread evenly, and crisps bacon without creating a stink in the house – partly because it has a helpful self-clean function.

Temperature accuracy is within 5 or 10 degrees of target, and the fan can adjust its speed depending on the cooking mode. And the smart app is really useful, with nearly 50 recipes ranging from asparagus to eclairs to flank steak London broil that can be synced at the press of a button. But note that some functions, such as baking, require an app to work, and the device is more of a counter hog than a taller basket fryer.

Tyfer’s probe-assisted oven is also on sale

However, the Dome 2’s basket is a little shallow for a whole bird or large roast. If you want a convection appliance for larger meats, I often recommend the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro, which is one of my favorite convection toaster ovens. It’s a (very) smart oven and air fryer that doesn’t crisp up wings and fries like a basket fryer, but is more versatile for frying larger proteins like a whole chicken. Breville is also on sale right now, marked down by 20 percent.
