It looks like a solid year kaiju fan. Not only are we getting godzilla minus zero In November—the sequel to the critically acclaimed godzilla minus one (2023)—but Apple TV has just released a teaser for the second season Emperor: Legacy of DemonsPart of Legendary Entertainment’s MonsterVerse, which brought Godzilla, King Kong, and various other monsters (kaiju) made in a single fold by Toho Co., Ltd.

First season started 2014 Godzilla Abandoned, notably the introduction of Project Monarch, a secret organization established in the 1950s to study Godzilla and other kaiju-After attempts to kill Godzilla with nuclear weapons fail. The plot spans three generations and takes place in the 1950s and half a century later. In the first season, two siblings (Kate and Kentaro Randa) follow in their father’s footsteps and uncover their family’s connection to a secret organization called Monarch. Naturally, they find themselves in a world of monsters and seek out Army officer Lee Shaw (Kurt Russell), a longtime family ally.
In the S1 finale, Godzilla fights an Ion Dragon, throwing him through the rift back to the Hollow Earth, and Shaw sacrifices himself to save his allies. According to the official S2 base:
Season two will begin with the fate of Monarch and the world hanging in the balance. The dramatic saga uncovers buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea. The effects of the past ripple into the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend, and foe – all with the threat of a major event on the horizon.
In addition to Russell, returning cast members include Wyatt Russell (son of Kurt) as the younger Shaw; Anna Sawai as Kate Randa; Kiersey Clemons as May; Ren Watabe as Kentaro Randa; Joe Tippett as Tim; Alyssa Lasowski as Duvall; And Anders Holm plays a younger version of Monarch researcher Bill Randa. Takehiro Hira, Amber Midthunder, Curtis Cook, Cliff Curtis, Dominic Tipper, and Camilo Jimenez Varon will be joining the S2 cast as guest stars.
