Our promise has always been to deliver innovative products while protecting the trust and security of our users.
We want to openly and clearly address the changes taking place now as we phase out Neato Cloud services.
Why the change?
- Neato Robotics was a company within the Vorwerk Group that ceased operations in 2023. Prior to its closure, we had committed to providing five years of cloud services for our products, with the aim of ensuring that customers can continue to use their robots as smoothly and reliably as possible, even after Neato ceases operations.
- In line with Vorwork’s philosophy of always acting in the best interests of its customers, Vorwork decided to retain the Neato Cloud Platform following the company’s closure in order to honor the original five-year service promise.
- Since 2023, there has been considerable progress in cybersecurity standards, compliance obligations, and regulatory framework. Under these new conditions, existing cloud infrastructure can no longer be maintained in a reliable and future-proof manner. Updating this environment would not make technical sense, nor would it ensure the level of quality and stability that our customers can expect.
what does it mean
- Security First: We are now phasing out Neato Cloud services.
what hasn’t changed
- Warranty remains valid: The manufacturer’s warranty commitments remain intact.
- Robots still work: Your Neato robot will continue to operate manually. Simply press the button once to start a full house run.
- Support available: Find all support online at neatrobotics.com, where you can find guidance and practical help.
This decision affects only Neato Robotics. Other Vorwerk products and services are completely unaffected.
We understand that this change impacts how you use your Neato robot, and we don’t take it lightly.
This decision was not taken due to convenience or inefficiency.
This reflects our duty to protect your privacy, your data and your security in a world where the technological and regulatory environment has fundamentally changed.
