4.1 magnitude earthquake in northern Sonoma County – NBC Bay Area

A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck northern Sonoma County on Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake struck at 7:08 a.m. and was centered about 3.3 miles southwest of Cobb in Lake County, a seismically active area. The earthquake’s epicenter was about 13 miles north-northeast of Healdsburg and about 17 miles north of Windsor.

The USGS said the quake struck at a shallow depth of 1.2 miles, which could make tremors stronger near the epicenter.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
