The Roku Pro series is bright and easy to use, performing well for both movies and gaming. Reviewer Adrienne So’s testing of the 65-inch model showed no halo on dark scenes, and its 120-Hz refresh rate ensures smooth gameplay. Our all-time favorite streaming device also comes from Roku and is on sale. The Roku Streaming Stick has support for 4K resolution and HDR, streams twice as fast as the older model, and comes with a voice remote. If you’re new to streaming (or purchasing for someone who is new to it) the Roku interface is the easiest to navigate. -Nena Farrell

If you’re looking for a great streaming device to cast from your phone, the Google TV Streamer is easily the best. It replaced Chromecast with Google TV, but it still has the same ability to stream from other devices over Wi-Fi that made Chromecast such a hit. Instead of a dongle, it’s a small sleek box that sits on your media console. It has a ton of useful features, but my favorite is that you can use the box to make the remote beep and help you find it. -Nena Farrell
